Are there action tips?
Suggestions are embedded in many of the options, in the “how to develop” and “how to coach,” and especially in the type to type tips in the dysfunction graph.
Are types being prescribed with the “fill opening, recommend manage and simulate addition” options?
We point out that there is a baseline of skills and competencies that individuals need to be successful. Assuming all this is equal, type differences will play out as noted.
Are you certifying practitioners relative to your online tool and team effectiveness model? If so, what is the cost and how are the sessions facilitated (i.e. online or at a location)?
TEAMOSITY® is designed to provide an individual with all of the tools needed to use the application. We think there are deeper uses of the application for which we have developed 1,2,3 day programs. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I add the same person to more than one team?
You can add the same person to as many teams as you want. No limits.
Do I have to pay extra charges per team?
There are no additional charges for adding teams to your application.
The button in the upper right corner of the screen provides some guidance for each section.
How can we “fix” any dysfunction problems?
Tap in any circle to see which two team members are being compared. Then tap again on the names you will see type to type tips to help address relationship challenges.
I see that if someone needs to take the MBTI® tool, they can do so from the application at an additional cost. Is there a cost for a team analysis?
We know that there will be times when individuals will want to get their MBTI® results which will be with an additional fee. Any additional staff expertise or time can be contracted for contracting us at email@example.com.
ISTJ always comes up when I tap on “Simulate Addition” – how do I add other types?
Tap on the ISTJ button and the entire type table of sixteen types will appear and you can use whichever type you want.
Just play with it!
If you are new to using type, play with all of the buttons. Find the places to add team members and their types and even either give them a short type indicator or link to take the MBTI® tool. Create mythical teams and see how it works — examine individuals and groups. See if you can make the totally dysfunctional team — who would that be? Test it to the max and let us know how it goes.
The letters in the graphic circles?*
This is the best way to see all of the team members and their preferences at once. The circles on the graphic will show at one glance what are the most and least available preferences at any given time and use it to remind the team what might be bias (too much of one preference over the other) from time to time.
What if I have a lot of people in my organization who wants this? Is there a volume discount?
We have set up TEAMOSITY® as a product on the Apple Volume Price Program which your organization can access and get a substantial discount.
What if I want to create a “straw person” team member?
You can create a fictitious name and enter a type and then add that “straw person” to the team to see what impact that type or person might have on the team. When you have answered your questions about the “straw person”, you can delete and remove them.
What is “Dominant Net Type” and “Minority Net Type”?**
It isn’t just a matter of counting up the number of types or preferences on any given team. Each type makes a different contribution to team. We created a formula for giving you a true team type based on the dynamics and probable behaviors of the group, given the types present. The dominant net type suggests how the team will behave collectively.
Where did the 20 analytical options come from?
We asked team managers and team leaders what they needed and we analyzed the research on team performance factors.
Where do I get my PIN?
You create it when you sign in the first time. You can enter any four number sequences. Remember, it will be your pin going forward.
Where do the dysfunctional pairs come from?
After years of collecting data and analyzing Pairings and studying real people and real teams, we created a formula to indicate degrees of accommodation (willingness to adapt, adjust and be responsive) and dysfunction (the tendency to work and think differently maybe leading to conflict).
Why do I need a PIN?
Your pin secures the private data you enter into your app. Should another person use your iPad, they will not be able to see your data inless you give them your personal pin.
* Jung explicitly noted that the psychological functions presented in a circle provide the best picture of the whole system and the best opportunity to see what is primary and secondary. See Psychology and Alchemy, paragraph 137, p106.
** We created several proprietary formulas for predicting team dynamics, team member contributions, manager impact (which significant varies by type), and a number of other type related outcomes.
